Located in the heart of McLaren Vale this well appointed spacious four bed roomed family home with pool is fully furnished and offers ideal short or medium term rental accommodation when visiting this lovely area. With four large bedrooms, (two with ensuites) a separate family bathroom, large living area with modern open plan kitchen/living area, office and fitted laundry the McLaren Cottage can sleep up to 8 persons with plenty of room to move around the home and gardens.

Located on Chalk Hill road the property is only a five minute walk to Main Street in McLaren Vale, a stroll to The Barn or Limeburners restaurant’s as well as the local primary school. There is also easy access to the contemporary cellar doors, boutique wineries and world class restaurant’s that the McLaren Vale region is renowned for.

The original cottage dates back to the 1840’s some of which can still be seen in the master bedroom, however with two modern additions it now makes a very comfortable family home. Outside on the covered verandah meals cooked on the 6 burner barbeque can be enjoyed while taking in the lovely views across open paddocks to the vineyards beyond. The spacious decking overlooking the swimming pool area and views beyond is a place where you can enjoy local produce and fine wines of the region.

With plenty of off street parking for up to six cars and garage if required the property is set in almost an acre. There is an in ground salt water chlorinated swimming pool which is fully fenced for child safety and plenty of space in the lawned gardens.

The southern vales town of McLaren Vale was opened up by settlers who planted their first vines in 1838, just two years after the colony of South Australia was founded. Mclaren Vale is renowned for its food and wine with a wide array of quality restaurants and over 65 wineries in the locality.

Mclaren Cottage is located on the edge of the peaceful yet central Chalk Hill Road. Within walking distance you will find an excellent choice of restaurants, wineries, shops and the local primary school is located just at the end of the road. For holiday makers or those just arrived in South Australia to start a new life the Mclaren Cottage is set in an idyllic location. Central Adelaide (CBD) is approx 45 minutes by car via the Southern Expressway.

In Mclaren Vale itself you have a wide selection of shops and the mall at Centro Colonnades with over 200 stores is just a short drive away in Noarlunga. The townships of Willunga with its weekly farmers market, some of Adelaides most stunning beaches and the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula are all within an easy drive from this quality furnished rental. Deposit & Bond - 20% deposit payable within 7 days of booking request. $500 bond required on day of arrival.
